The most fundamental part of project management analysis is the accurate recording of time spent on activities. It’s also probably the most-used part of any project management tool. Fortunately, ProjectPartner makes timsheeting painless – and you might even go so far as to say we’ve made it fun.

ProjectPartner’s Timesheet module offers day, work week, calendar week and month views, and lets each user specify time increments from one minute to an hour. Recording time is then as simple as selecting a task and clicking and dragging over the appropriate time. All entries are editable and can be dragged to another time or day, or assigned to another task. There’s even a dynamic Time Recorder to automatically create entries for users when activated.

Time entries for entire days or weeks can easily be duplicated to another timeframe to accommodate repetitive work patterns. When a user has completed recording time for any period, just a couple of mouse clicks submits the time for billing approval.

At its most basic, project portfolio management hinges on the accurate definition of your resources and goals. ProjectPartner makes this easy, while still allowing unprecedented customization to reflect your business practises. The same logic that applies to small businesses scales to large organizations with many workgroups.

Because ProjectPartner’s focus is on time accountability, you can set financial parameters at any level – an employee’s salary, an agreed charge rate for certain kinds of work, a client’s budget for a particular project, and much more – and measure your business’ efficiency and profitability against them.

Resources’ workloads can be better managed by defining them as belonging to workgroups, and restricting project managers’ assignment capabilities to those resources in their own workgroups.

When time is money, you can’t afford to waste a moment.

Wrangling resources to make sure projects are carried out on time and on budget is no mean feat. Fortunately, ProjectPartner makes it a painless experience – and helps deliver optimal efficiency and profitability.

ProjectPartner helps you match task allocations to the best-suited resources available to meet time and budget constraints. By specifying the various roles which each human or non-human resource can perform (and, optionally, specific skills within roles), it’s quick and easy to assign them the jobs that make the best use of their time and abilities. And if more urgent work arrives that only a particular employee or contractor can perform, their existing workload can be re-allocated elsewhere.

When the work is done, ProjectPartner offers enormous reporting options to help you analyze efficiency, profitability and more. Remember that job you estimated would take 10 hours? When you put your most experienced people on the job, they got it done in half the time… and, despite their higher salaries, you actually increased your profit by delivering the completed project to your client early and within budget.

ProjectPartner expense claims

  • Associate expenses and disbursements with any client, project or specific task
  • On-charge expenses and disbursements automatically

For most projects, there are a lot of other expenses to be tracked in addition to resources’ time. Whether chargeable to your client or not, they all have an effect on a project’s cost. Lodge them in ProjectPartner to ensure they’re included in project budgets and are counted in profitability reporting.

Motel rooms and meals for site visits, airport transfers and hotel Internet charges for business trips, printing and courier charges to send proposals to clients – define your own categories and types, complete with ledger codes if required. And if your project includes the purchase and/or sale of goods, the costs and charges for these can be managed here too.

As with all costs associated with projects you manage through ProjectPartner, these expenses, disbursements and sales can be recorded in any currency and converted to your budget or billing currency at the rates you specify.
