Most of the software you use has to be installed on each user’s computer, creating support issues and complicating hardware and software upgrades. And, because workgroup tools are—by their very nature—designed to be used by a number of people, all users would need very similar equipment.
By moving the burden away from your infrastructure and deploying the application through a standard web browser, it’s easy to implement in any environment. Users only need their preferred browser and Internet or intranet access.
Our subscription options give you the choice of installing ProjectPartner on your internal servers and delivering it to users over your intranet, or accessing it from our servers over the Internet. There’s no trade-off of security for convenience; you choose the more appropriate method for your situation.
Your ProjectPartner data is kept entirely separate to other users’ data, and separate from your login information. All data is encrypted and kept in the most secure environment available, where it is hidden from search engines and hackers.
It would be inappropriate to go into detail about the security measures within ProjectPartner, but in summary:
For more detailed information on the security of our servers, see the security information page of this website.
Please do! We offer a one-month free trial of ProjectPartner where you can work with sample data or set up your own projects.
Information on what trial accounts offer is available here.
Your ProjectPartner trial account will include some Projects, Resources, and recorded activity so you can get started right away.
If you’ve watched our demo movies or been given a personal demonstration, you’ll probably recognize this sample data.
This sample data means that you can work with dashboard reports, record time and disbursements, and schedule work straight “out of the box”.
Yes! You’re welcome to customize the trial account with your own resources and projects so you can get a better feel for how ProjectPartner’s advanced scheduling and reporting can help your organization.
However, we recommend that you don’t work with any mission-critical data in your trial account, because the content you create cannot be transferred when you choose to subscribe to ProjectPartner.
When you register for a trial account, you’ll receive an email with your login details.

After you’ve practiced with the sample data and are ready to add your own, we strongly recommend reviewing the tips in the email. We’ve also prepared a list of activities you may wish to try.

We welcome your feedback and will respond promptly to any questions you may have.
The current version of ProjectPartner is the culmination of nearly 20 years’ work in developing project management and time accountability software. We’ve been creating tools to help thousands of people in organizations around the world track their time, costs and project profitability since the early 1990s. We doubt there are any other project portfolio management products with such a strong pedigree.
Recently, we rebuilt our software from scratch to work in today’s workplaces and with today’s (and tomorrow’s!) technologies. We also took the opportunity to add a raft of new features our clients had been requesting, simplify its implementation and management, and to reposition our development so we can be even more responsive to customer demand for further enhancements.
You can be confident that we know what we’re doing, and that you’ll like what we’ve created for you.
Other project portfolio management applications only concern themselves with timelines and progress to completion. A few have rudimentary timesheets, basic budget management and bland reporting. But none of them let you measure your actual profitability and efficiency.
And that’s where ProjectPartner is in a league of its own. We refer to ProjectPartner as “time accountability intelligence” software. Our focus is more about accurately recording your costs and charges, and providing unprecedented flexibility in how these fit your business practices.
In addition to all the usual project/portfolio/task definition and management tools, ProjectPartner includes a uniquely usable—some would even say appealing—timesheet, powerful contract management, skills-based resource scheduling, fully-customizable cost and charge structures, and the most incredibly multi-dimensional interactive and tactile analysis engine you’ve ever seen.
Yes, ProjectPartner does a lot. But we’ve designed it so that the tools you need—and only the tools you need—are always readily available and easy to use.
There are few menus. Everything is accessed with obvious buttons and context-sensitive drop-down lists. We recognize that you use ProjectPartner to manage your projects and track your activity; your actual work is done elsewhere. So enterprise-wide and user-specific options show or hide extended functions to let everyone just get on with their jobs. ProjectPartner does the hard yards in the background, following the rules you define.
ProjectPartner is an all-in-one suite available at simple low per-user pricing. Your own administrators manage users’ access to specific features, so there’s no messy calculations of how many licenses you need for each module.
The monthly subscriptions which most customers will choose mean that you can adjust your licensing as often as necessary with no penalty, and write the cost off as an expense rather than paying a huge up-front fee which has to be capitalized and amortized. Your accountants will be very happy to hear that.

There are no limits on the numbers of clients, portfolios, projects or tasks. We wouldn’t want to penalize you for the success we help you achieve!
Data from any Dashboard report is available in a variety of delimited formats and can be copied-and-pasted into other applications or emailed as an attachment.
Billing data, including users’ own coding, can also be exported in common formats for use with separate accounting or FMIS systems.
We integrate with a number of other systems such as financial management information systems, project management software, email systems and common payroll applications. If yours isn’t amongst those we already support, we can do so quite quickly. Please let us know your requirements, and we’ll respond with a timeframe for adding this integration.
Although ProjectPartner does not handle accounts receivable or include a general ledger system, it does include a number of accounting features to assist your financial analysis. ProjectPartner can produce invoices, as well as export a variety of itemized data—including revenue charging, taxation charged or incurred in expenditure, currency exchanges—all with your defined general ledger coding.
ProjectPartner permits project managers to host a variety of document and image types in a customer-specific library, and to link those to one or more Clients, Portfolios, Projects and Tasks. These documents are available for download (and subsequent editing and upload) by other project managers.
Timesheet users can attach documents and images to their Expense claims, which is useful for providing receipts and other proof of the expense—particularly in the case of remote workers who may not have an opportunity to provide hard copy in support of their claims.
ProjectPartner.com’s time accountability software is used by people in organizations of all sizes and kinds, in countries around the world. We count local and central government departments, financial services organizations, creative professionals, IT businesses, engineers and other professions amongst our current clients.
